Hi! My family is going to Disney World from July 13-July 22. If there is rain or a thunderstorm, will it affect the whole park? Also, what is the average weather in Disney World?

    Hi Maya!
Generally speaking, rain has little affect on the operation of the park with regards to attractions. Heavy or lengthy rain would have a possible affect on the "outdoor" attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, for example.
Thunderstorms, again depending on severity and duration have varying levels of impact. Most of the time, only outdoor attractions are affected during storms, whereas "indoor" attractions operate normally. They obviously get a bit more crowded too, as do restaurants and gift shops, as some guests choose to wait out the weather there. Parades, shows and fireworks can also be delayed and/or cancelled depending on the forecast. Not to worry, for even in bad weather, there is still plenty to do in each of the parks!
You can expect your trip to be hot and humid with the potential for rain almost every day. I would plug "Walt Disney World" into the "location" on the Weather Channel website and see what you're in for specifically during your trip.
    I wish you a Magical visit!! :)
