My family is going to disney world in January! My older sister needs to manage my account. How do I give her permission to manage my account? She also is on my friends list, but she wants manage to make sure we all have correct dining plans.

    Hello Lauren,

Thanks for stopping in to see us here at planDisney!

It's wonderful to hear that your family is visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth." It's always so much when families can experience all the magic together.

Your sister can use the Family & Friends features in My Disney Experience to easily make plans that include you. To do this, your sister will want to make sure that you appear on her own My Family & Friends List. If needed, she can use the "Add a Guest" feature to add you to her My Family & Friends List.

When your sister wants to make plans that include you, such as making a dining reservation, she can easily add you to the dining party for the reservation because she'll be able to select your name from her My Family & Friends List.

Using the same My Family & Friends List features, you can make plans that include your sister if she is a Guest on your own My Family & Friends List.

You can also use your own My Family & Friends List to choose which plans other Guests on your list can see. When you select a Guest who is displayed on your My Family & Friends List and select the "Update" feature, you should see a setting for "Choose Which Plans and Photos (the Guest) Can See." You'll see two options. One option is for "All My Plans," and the other option is for "Only Our Shared Plans." You might find it helpful to choose the "All My Plans" setting for you and your sister to see all plans, and you have the control over that choice.

You'll also want to consider having everyone in your travel party use the My Disney Experience mobile app as a great way to make, manage, and share plans together throughout your stay.

I hope this quick tip is helpful, Lauren, as you and your sister and your family make your plans to enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort. If you find you'd like additional help with your My Disney Experience account or with the Family & Friends features, you can reach out to the Walt Disney World Resort at (407)-934-7639, or use the chat service online to connect with a Cast Member who can guide you.

Here's wishing you all a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today.

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
