Hi my family are going to disney world in jan 18 and we want to see the river of light show but dont want to do the dinning before how long do we need to line up for before the show starts and can we still get good seats

    Hi Gayle!

Disney's Animal Kingdom at night is amazing!  Pandora: The World of Avatar is all aglow with some fabulous PhotoPass opportunities and Kilimanjaro Safaris is a whole different experience once the sun sets.  We stayed until midnight just last week and had such a fun time.

We used FastPass+ for Rivers of Light last week.  We entered the theater about an hour before the show started and were practically the first ones seated.  I noticed that in the standby theater seating, Guests started to trickle in about 45 minutes early and it started to fill up about 20-30 minutes prior to the show.  I like to have good seats for shows like this, so I would recommend getting in line at least 45 minutes early.  We brought our refillable popcorn buckets into the theater with us, so we had some munchies to snack on while we waited for the show to start.

On your way out, stop in front of the Tree of Life to watch it "awaken" with beautiful animals and sounds.  It's an incredible experience!

    Have a magical day!
