Hi, my family of 4 are going to Disney world in February, we have the Disney dining plan, I know it says that what you get is based on per person per night but do we have our own personal allowance or are they all club together per room or booking? thanks

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Bridget! Since you and your family are arriving at Walt Disney World Resort next month, it's a great time to start dreaming about all the amazing food you're going to eat while you're there.

It sounds like your family is going to be using the Disney Dining Plan, which I think is a great idea! There are lots of things to love about it but what I love most is the flexibility. You can choose where, when, and how you'd like to eat because each member of your family are alotted meal credits for every night of your stay, but the credits are not assigned to any specific person. All guests who are staying in the same Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room have access to the same pool of credits. For example, that means that one person can go grab Quick-Service meals for everyone and bring them back when the kids don't want to get out of the pool! You can also choose to use your Dining Plan credits however you want throughout the course of your stay. Have a big meal planned and want to hold off on your snacks until tomorrow? No problem! Friends are visiting you and you'd like to use a credit to treat them to a meal? That's totally fine. There are plenty of different ways to get the most out of your Disney Dining Plan, and those are just a few of them.

When you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, you'll notice that your total amount of Disney Dining Plan credits are clearly displayed for you in the My Disney Experience app! It shows the total credits left for your party for your stay, and you can use the app to keep track of how many snacks and meals you and your family have left to enjoy.

    Have a magical day, Bridget!
