My family and I are Disney World fanatics but this December we wanted to try something a little different. We are going to Disneyland for Christmas. We are wondering what is the best area (view, etc.) to stay in at the Grand Californian if there is one?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Kailyn!

You're as welcome as can be here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, so thanks for bringing your great question. I grew up vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, but my first visit to the Disneyland Resort was still SO special. It is definitely surreal to be in the place where the magic began over 60 years ago and where Walt himself had a hand in creating so much that we can still experience today.

I'm so excited you have already decided to stay at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This is my very favorite Disneyland Resort Hotel. The impressive lobby, Craftsman-style decor, fantastic amenities, delicious dining options, and dedicated entrance to Disney California Adventure Park are just some of the reasons why I love it so much. While I'm just happy to be in any room at this hotel, the Premium View rooms are probably the most popular when it comes to great views. These rooms either will face the pool or Disney California Adventure Park. Keep in mind that while specific views are not always accommodated, it never hurts to ask when booking. I found the theme park view to be my favorite, but sometimes these rooms can also be a little noisier at times due to the nature of the room facing attractions and park music. Some Guests love feeling immersed like this while others prefer something more peaceful, so you'll want to think about what is a priority to you.

To truly make your vacation special, I also suggest considering upgrading your room to Club Level. With access to an exclusive lounge and a dedicated concierge to help you plan your trip, you will feel like royalty. I loved heading to The Veranda for breakfast, afternoon tea, evening appetizers, and dessert while watching the fireworks from here. All of this is included with your Club Level stay each day.

I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions about your Christmas vacation. Have a Fantasmic day!
