My family will be at Disney World for Christmas this year (it is also my birthday on Christmas Day!!) I was wondering if there are restaurants open that are not in the parks so we can have a meal but not go into a park on Christmas Day?

    Hello MaryEllen!

Wow, it is so exciting that you and your family will celebrate the Christmas season and your Christmas day birthday in Walt Disney World!

Some of the most incredible restaurants in Walt Disney World are located inside the Walt Disney World Resorts! I will recommend five of my favorites inside a Resort to give you and your family a meal to remember.

    1. The BOATHOUSE® is located at Disney Springs and open for lunch and dinner with seafood and landlubbers options
    2. Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort. Serving breakfast (Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends) and Dinner with a View. Trust me, the food is amazing
    3. Yachtsman Steakhouse in Disney's Yacht Club Resort serves an incredible dinner
    4. Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. A fabulous Buffet with an incredible selection of foods and desserts for breakfast and dinner
    5. Cítricos located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offers a fantastic dinner

There are more incredible restaurants within the Resorts. I recommend these five because I have dined at them many times and had memorable meals each time! Check back with us at planDisney for directions on how to get to these Resorts once you get your Advanced Dining Reservations.

I hope that your Christmas birthday meal is magical!
