    Hi! My family and I are going to be at Disney World for Christmas and New Years. We want to go to either the Pixar Party or Count Down to Midnight at the Contemporary. We are wondering if both will have characters and what will be the entertainment factor?

    Hi Stephanie and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    Disney's Contemporary Resort is hosting two incredible events for New Year's Eve so I can understand how difficult it must be to choose. Pixar Party: A New Year's Eve Celebration will immerse you and your family in the world of Pixar movies. A variety of Pixar characters from Toy Story, Inside Out, The Incredibles, and more will be making appearances throughout the night. There will be a themed buffet of delicious food, a DJ spinning tunes for dancing, and a variety of kids activities. As midnight approaches, the party will move outside to the Porte Cochére for a great view of the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom. I've watched the fireworks from the Contemporary's Porte Cochére before and the view is fantastic.

    Disney Countdown to Midnight: A New Year's Eve Celebration also sounds amazing! They have not announced that any characters will be visiting this celebration. There will be adult beverages for Guests over the age of 21, a DJ bringing the party to life, photo opportunities, incredible food (with "cheftainment"), and a band. You can't go wrong with food from one of my favorite restaurants, California Grill. Jiko- The Cooking Place, Flying Fish Cafe, and Narcoossee's will also be providing delights for the party. This party will conclude with fireworks viewing at the Porte Cochére.
