My family and I will be in Disney from 12/26 to 12/31. I was told that if we do not get to the parks by 10am they will be full and we will not get into any parks even with the tickets we already purchased. Is this correct?

    Hello Holly!

The holidays are definitely a busy time at Walt Disney World.  The parks and resorts are filled with families celebrating the holidays and ending the year at the most magical place on Earth.  Crowds are very heavy during the week between Christmas and New Years.  It is not unheard of for the Theme Parks to close to capacity during this time of year, and it will often close in the late morning hours.  In order to make sure you're able to visit the park of your choice, I suggest arriving at the gates as early as possible.  If the park is scheduled to open at 9am, I would arrive no later than 8:15am. This will allow you to enter the park with the first wave of guests and experience a few attractions before the crowds swell to capacity.
If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to check out the Extra Magic Hours offered during your stay.  The morning Extra Magic Hours can be a huge help during peak periods.  Just make sure you plan to arrive at the early opening on time to get the most out of the time.

Even though the crowds are large during the holiday period, you'll still be able to see and do a lot!  It just takes a little planning and patience.  You're going to have a simply magical time.  Please come back and ask us any other questions you may have, Holly.
