Our family is going to Disney for thanksgiving this year and it will be my son whom is 3 and my husband whom is 32 first time ever going is there anything we need to make sure we plan going during a holiday?

    Hi Victoria ~

Planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort during Thanksgiving can be super exciting and a little overwhelming. No worries! We are hEAR to help!

Here are some things I recommend when traveling during a peak season like Thanksgiving:

    * Stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel to have access to Extra Magic Hours.
    * Purchase your theme park tickets in advance so that you can make Disney FastPass+ service selections prior to your trip. Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can start making FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance.
    * Make Advanced Dining Reservations. These can be made be made up to 180 days prior to your trip. You can make reservations through the link I've provided or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
    * Download the My Disney Experience mobile app.
    * Get an early start each morning and take a break in the afternoon.
    * Select your 3 "must dos" in each theme park you plan to visit and make those your priority.
    * Bring your own water and snacks to avoid waiting in line for them.
    * Plan to eat an early lunch and dinner to avoid the crowds.
    * If you plan to park hop, take advantage of Disney's Express Transportation to save time when traveling between parks.
    * Make a fireworks dessert party reservation one night to see Happily Ever After at the Magic Kingdom. You'll get a great view of the fireworks without waiting for hours and you get some yummy desserts while you wait.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
