My family has been to Disney several times and we are looking for something new to try. We would like to rent a pontoon boat this trip. Is it possible to rent a pontoon boat so we can see Magic Kingdom from the water? Thanks!

You can indeed rent pontoon boats from the marinas of the resorts around the Seven Seas Lagoon!  You can rent them by the hour or half hour to cruise both this large water area and also Bay Lake.  You can even find a quiet spot and just sit and sun for a while too!

Be aware that you will also be sharing the waters with the large ferry boats that take guests to the Magic Kingdom and the small Sea Raycers that many guests enjoy renting.  Be careful and go slow but enjoy not only seeing the Magic Kingdom as you pass by but also all the resorts on the water; Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness.  In the middle of Bay Lake you will also find the old Discovery Island. It is now only home to resident Floridian birds who roost in the trees but you can see remnants of what it used to be.

Another idea for your family might be to reserve a fireworks cruise for one night.  This will be a pontoon boat as well but it comes with your very own captain leaving you to just enjoy the evening.  You will have the best seat in the house for the great fireworks show from the Magic Kingdom and cruising the waters at night with all the lights is quite magical. They also offer a fireworks cruise out of the Yacht and Beach Club resort for the Illuminations show in EPCOT. Top make a reservation please call 407-939-7529.
