My family will be going to Disney in November and staying at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Can you suggest the best cabin area to request so that we are close to the bus transportation that takes us to all the parks? And, close to the main pool? Thanks

    Emily:

I generally recommend to folks that they let Disney decide which loop is best for them at Fort Wilderness by putting in a request of what you want with your reservation. But the cabin loop closest to the Outpost Bus Stop would be on the opposite end from the cabin loops nearer the main pool in the middle of the resort...

You can either ask for Cabin Loop 2100 to be closest to the pool and ask to be assigned to a cabin near the front of the loop, and therefore, near the internal bus stop and hop a bus to the front of the fort to the Outpost Bus Stop OR you can request Cabin Loop 2800 and ask to be assigned to a cabin nearest the main road so you can walk to the Outpost Bus Stop and use an internal bus to head to the middle of the resort and the main pool.

Personally, I'd opt to request Loop 2100 to be in the middle of the resort and use the internal buses to reach the farthest out points of the Outpost Bus Stop and Settlement.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
