Hi Angela,
What I love about Walt Disney World vacations is that there is so much to see and do and enjoy both inside the theme parks as well as outside the theme parks. On many a Walt Disney World stay, we spend time enjoying our days taking in all the magic that abounds beyond the theme parks.
One of my favorite adventures from the Disney's Port Orleans Resorts is to take the
water transportation over to
Disney Springs. There are so many shopping and dining and entertainment offerings at Disney Springs that we often break our Disney Springs visit into two days or more. We might stroll the West Side and The Landing one day, and return to stroll the Town Center and Marketplace a second day. Honestly, I have so many favorite restaurants at Disney Springs that I could dine there for a week and not get to them all. Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', Maria & Enzo's Ristorante, Paddlefish, and The BOATHOUSE are just a few of my favorites, and it feels like new offerings are popping up all the time. Be sure to check out all the
special holiday offerings at Disney Springs as well.
Disney's BoardWalk is another personal favorite for outside-the-theme-park fun and adventure. I absolutely love the classic waterfront resort vibe.
Another set of options to explore is to visit some of the other Walt Disney World Resort hotels for their dining experiences and shopping. I think you can make a whole enjoyable day on the Monorail Resorts alone.
Angela, here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World stay.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
