Family going to Disney in Nov. We want to stay at POR for 6 nights. My husband will not be able to join us until the 3rd night. How would this work if we wanted to do the dining package? Can he take advantage of the My Way airport transfer?

    Hi Kimberly,

November is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. I know it is a few months away, but it’ll be here in no time.

The Disney Dining Plans are an excellent way to manage your meal budget. These options are only available when booking a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, which will include theme park tickets and accommodations at select resort hotels. The options are added for all members of your party, and for the entire length of stay.

Meal credits are based on the number of nights of your stay but are also pooled. Any adult (or children 10 years of age or older) would be able to use your husband’s meal credits. For example, you could dine at a signature restaurant or attend a dinner show. My favorite is the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review.

In the past, there’s been free dining offers available in the fall. I love free dining offers! But in your situation, you may benefit from simply paying out of pocket for your meals. You can still make advanced dining reservations up to 180 days in advance either at the Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. You can also add or remove Disney Dining Plans to a package, but it’s recommended to do so at least 30 days before arrival in order to avoid fees.
