My family and I are going to Disney next Christmas (2012). Can you offer some suggestions of where we should eat on Christmas Day?

When it comes to dining, the tough thing won't be finding a special experience, it will be in narrowing down your choices!  Without knowing exactly what kind of experience you're aiming for (traditional, character, themed) it's tough to recommend one specific restaurant.  Instead, I'll offer you some suggestions and you can go from there.

Perhaps a somewhat refined experience would be appropriate for the holiday.  In that case, Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge or California Grill at Disney's Contemporary resort would be ideal choices; both are fabulous.

If you were looking to dine inside a park, Epcot is chock full of great restaurants.  Among my favorites: Teppan Edo and Le Cellier.  At the Magic Kingdom, Liberty Tree Tavern offers a cozy, colonial feel and the menu is in line with traditional holiday dinners.

Looking for something festive and unusual?  If the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is showing that night, I highly recommend it.  The fun factor (and plentiful food) makes this a must do for our family.

Hopefully one of these eateries will suit your Christmas fancy.  If not, though, do keep in mind that many WDW restaurants offer special holiday menus to accommodate the tastes of those looking to celebrate the holiday with a traditional meal.

    Merry eating!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
