Hi Amanda!
Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! I believe what your husband might be referring to is the
Monorail System. The Monorail runs on three different routes or loops, the Epcot Loop, Magic Kingdom Express Loop and the Monorail Resorts Loop.
All three loops leave from the Ticket and Transportation Center located near the Polynesian Resort just outside of Magic Kingdom, but you can board from any of the locations that the Monorail makes stops. The Epcot Loop, which runs straight to Epcot with no stops, actually runs through parts of Epcot before coming to a stop just outside the main gates. The Magic Kingdom Resorts Loop runs from the Ticket and Transportation Center making stops at The Polynesian, The Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary Resort in that order. The Magic Kingdom Express Loop runs in the opposite direction, but does not stop at any of the Monorail Resorts hence the name "Express."
The Monorail is a lot of fun to ride and quite often my family will ride it for an afternoon break. It does not require park admission to ride any of the monorail loops so you can even check out parts of Epcot. I hope this helps and please visit us again if you have anymore questions!
Enjoy your "Disney Time!"
Mandy
