Hi, Pat! I’m happy you sailed by today with your question.
I love meeting a fellow Disney Cruise Line planner! One of the first things I do when I board is reserve a
placeholder for my next Disney Cruise. I might not know when I want to sail or where, but I love knowing I have another cruise to look forward to.
You can reserve a placeholder reservation in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app as soon as embarkation day. Not only will you receive a discount on your next cruise, but you’ll have 24 months to research and plan the
perfect itinerary for your family. There are, however, blockout dates. These are usually during peak travel periods and holidays. For the Disney Wish, Guests could use their placeholder on the inaugural season, just not on the maiden voyage. However, Captain Mickey still has the Disney Treasure’s booking information locked in Genie's lamp. I recommend
calling Disney Cruise Line and talking to a reservation specialist once you’re ready to book your adventure at sea.
Pat, I also can’t wait to sail on the Disney Treasure! You can
sign up on the Disney Cruise Line website to be among the first to hear about all the exciting new details as they are released. The
Disney Parks Blog shared that the new ship is scheduled for delivery in 2024. I’m on the edge of my seat, waiting to read all about Disney’s next ship. Until then, I hope you have a wonderful time on the Disney Magic! If you have any additional questions that we can help you with, please sail back to planDisney. We look forward to helping Guests plan unforgettable vacations!
SEAS the adventure!
