Ahoy, Megan!
I'm excited to hear you're considering a Disney vacation for your family. I'm even MORE excited to hear you're considering a vacation that includes the best of both worlds - a Walt Disney World Resort vacation on
land, and a voyage with Disney Cruise Line at
sea!
The first decision my family makes when planning a
Land and Sea vacation is to choose sail dates for the Disney Cruise leg of our adventure. Since Disney Cruise Line has specific sail dates and itineraries for ships departing from Port Canaveral (the closest port to Walt Disney World Resort), you'll need to have specific dates in mind. Once you've selected a ship and a sail date, it's time to contact Disney Cruise Line or an Authorized Disney Travel Planner to walk you through the planning process of your vacation - they can help create a seamless transition from land to sea.
When you're ready to book your magical vacation, you can reach Disney Cruise Line booking agents by calling (800) 951-3532. If you choose to use an Authorized Disney Travel Planner in your area, one of the best ways is to ask friends and family who they've used to book their Disney vacations. I use a travel planner who specializes in Disney Cruise Line vacations, and she's taken care of our family's plans for many years. It doesn't cost a penny extra to use a Disney Travel Planner than if you were to book your vacation online yourself!
Whether you call Disney Cruise Line directly or use a travel agent, they'll be able to give you pricing for different options. The length of your cruise, choice of stateroom, and choice of resort hotel will make a difference when it comes to the price of your Land and Sea vacation.
I hope this helps, and you're soon planning a magical vacation with your family! - Diane W.
