Hi. My family and I are going to Disney in June and this year we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We have dinner plans at the the Spirit of Aloha at the Polynisian Resort. What is the best way to get there from our hotel?

Aloha Monica and thanks for your question!  I'm so excited to hear you will be experiencing the Spirit of Aloha on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!  My family had the pleasure of doing this on a recent trip and I must say we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!  Be sure to arrive early enough to take in the sights of the Polynesian resort beforehand!

To get to the Polynesian, you will need to hop aboard Port Orleans' resort bus to the Magic Kingdom. Once at the Magic Kingdom, you have two options:  Boat or Monorail.

If you choose Monorail, be sure to use the "resort" monorail entrance.  The Polynesian will be the 3rd stop in the loop.  You can also take the resort boast launch to the Polynesian!  The boat will first stop at the Grand Floridian before reaching your destination at the Polynesian.  whichever method you choose, I would allow 45 minutes to an hour for travel time from Port Orleans to the Polynesian.  Also, please note that Luau Cove, where Spirit of Aloha takes place, is located near the back of the resort, so you will allow time to make your way there.  As I said earlier, I would recommend arriving early enough to enjoy the atmosphere of the Polynesian Resort before the show!

Aloha and please be sure to write back if I can be of further assistance in the planning of your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! -Amanda F.
