Hi, Sherry!
Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are so glad that you asked for planning tips for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World!
A 1st visit to WDW is always special, but a 1st visit during
Christmas week is sure to be EXTRA magical as all of the parks and resorts have donned their holiday finery and sparkle even brighter at night.
Take a look at
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort for an overview of all things Christmas. There is so much extra to see and do at WDW during the holidays, so find a few favorites and plan your days around them.
Consider purchasing tickets to the oh-so-special
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which features a special parade, Christmas-themed entertainment, complimentary hot cocoa and cookies, and--my favorite--"snow" on Main Street, USA! The party is offered only on select evenings as a separate ticketed event, and will be held both the Sunday and Thursday of the week of your stay. Be sure to visit the Jungle Cruise in MK, too, which during the holidays transforms into the JINGLE Cruise: classic WDW fun with a holiday twist.
Holidays Around the World at Epcot is another favorite way to bring a little extra merriment to Christmas festivities. There, you'll enjoy the traditional holiday decor, food, music and performances in each of the 11 World Showcase nations.
Gingerbread creations in some of WDW's resort hotels are truly amazing, and a quick trip to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa's lobby will make your jaw drop and your mouth water.
Send more questions as you plan your most magical stay, Sherry! We love to help!
