Hi, my family will be going to Disney for the first time in November. I have made a couple character dining reservations but have not made any other reservations for dining. Will we be able to stop and eat at restaurants (non character) wo reservations?

Hi Jennifer! In only a few months you will be eating with Mickey!

Character meals are a must do when visiting Walt Disney World and reservations are vital. For your other meals, if you eat at counter service restaurants, no planning is necessary. Just walk in, order, and carry your food to a seat to eat. Any table service meals, even if no characters make an appearance, do require reservations. If you want to try a unique dining venue such as the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater or one of Epcot's World Showcase sit down restaurants you will need reservations. Dinner shows also need to be booked ahead of time. Peruse the Dining Reservations page on the WDW website and see if dining options listed look appealing. If you want specific suggestions to fit your family's itinerary or needs, please contact me and I will be glad to help.

The WDW Moms Panel loves to help guests plan magical trips for their families so please let us help you as you put together your first visit.
