Hiya Erin and welcome to planDisney!
On my Walt Disney World Resort vacations, there is one thing that consistently remains at the top of my list of things to plan for:
Food! And with a family as big as mine, nobody wants to see what happens when people start to get hangry. When you're booking your
Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days prior to your arrival, you can make reservations for your whole group yourself. Just open your
My Disney Experience app and log in. Then tap the search icon at the bottom of your screen. Type the restaurant you want into the search bar. Then tap Reserve Dining for that restaurant. You can enter the number of people you want on the reservation, the date you're looking to dine, and the time for your meal. Add a method of payment for your Credit Card Guarantee. Don't worry it'll only be charged if your party is a no show or if you don't cancel within the required timeframe. Agree to the Guest Policies and hit the green Book Now button. Now you'll all be well-fed and ready to keep the magic rolling!
Pro tip: If you don't manage to get a reservation you really want, don't be discouraged. Keep checking for that restaurant's availability, especially in the week leading up to your desired dining time. People tend to cancel then to avoid paying no-show fees. I've personally had some great luck getting coveted reservations to
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' using this exact tactic.
Erin if you have any more questions
please come see me again here at planDisney. I'd be happy to help!
Happy planning!
