    Hey Kim!

A warm welcome to planDisney. Thanks for visiting us with your wondEARful question about Disney Very Merriest After Hours.

Yes, Kim, if you wish to attend Disney Very Merriest After Hours, you must purchase a separate event ticket. Unless you purchase a Disney Very Merriest After Hours ticket, you will need to exit the theme park before the event officially begins — even if you have a regular Magic Kingdom Park theme park ticket for that same day.

However, this does not mean you have to exit the theme park during regular park hours! Disney Very Merriest After Hours takes place after regular park hours, which means that you will not be missing out on anything! You will even be able to enjoy Disney Enchantment — the all-new fireworks spectacular in Magic Kingdom Park before you have to exit the theme park.

Kim, I hope this helps you. If you have any additional questions, please visit planDisney again. We are always hEAR to help you.
