Hi Megan!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The
Disney Dining Plan is something I use every time I visit Walt Disney World, and I love the convenience it offers - and also the great savings on dining all around the Resort. While it is true that everyone on the same Resort Reservation must be using the same Dining Plan, it can be used to suit everyone's individual needs.
Rainforest Cafe at both at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and at
Disney Springs, requires one Table-Service credit per person, when using your Disney Dining Plan. You may not use one Table-Service credit to split a meal between three children, but you can either use one Table-Service credit for each child, or you could opt to pay cash for their meals, and save the Dining Plan credits for another meal elsewhere. When you arrive at your table let your server know that some of you will be using your dining plan, and you will be paying by another method for your children. The Disney Dining Plans are very flexible and it is entirely up to each individual Guest how they use their entitlements, and providing there are enough credits left on your account, you can use them in any way you please - maybe using more credits on one day, and less on another. If at any time you need to check your Dining Plan balance you can do so by asking for a print-out at the Front Desk of your Resort hotel, or by asking your server at any restaurant, or by checking your dining receipt. Dining reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance, either online, or by using the My Disney Experience mobile app.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World. ~ Sue
