Hi! My family and I will be on the Disney Destiny from June 20-27. I was wondering if you know what night will be formal night? Also, as a party of 8 with linked reservations will we be seated together for dinner at a table by ourselves? Thank You!

    Hi Joyce,

Welcome back to planDisney! You must be getting so excited about your cruise on the Disney Destiny, which is only a few weeks away.

I recently checked on the theme nights for that cruise for another guest, so I can tell you that Formal Night is scheduled for Day 4 of your seven-night cruise. That's a relaxing day at sea, so you will have plenty of time to get dolled up for dinner if you choose. Semi-Formal Night is on Day 6, after the Destiny leaves Grand Cayman. And Pirate Night is on Day 5, following your visit to Cozumel.

Participation in the theme nights is voluntary, of course, though they add some sparkle to your evenings. And, though it is unlikely at this point, the schedule is subject to change. You will find this information and so much more in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App while you are onboard. (If you don't already have it, I recommend downloading it now to countdown to your departure and make any additional plans.)

Regarding the seating at dinner: If your party is all linked and everyone has requested the same dining time -- either 5:45 or 8:15 pm -- you should be seated together and arranged as a single party. When you board, you will be assigned a table number and a wait staff. Both the table number and the staff will be the same as you rotate through all the main dining rooms.

If you have any questions about your seating arrangements or need to make any changes after you board, you can stop by Guest Services for assistance. They usually have a special Guest Services area just for dining questions on embarkation day.

Thanks for your questions, Joyce. Please let us know if we can help with any other last-minute details.

    Happy sailing,

    Wilma
