My family is going on the disney cruise for 4 nights the end of Oct- I am confused on the dining attire - can we wear jeans and t-shirts to the regular family dining on all or any nights? I understand shorts are not permitted on any but what about capris?

    Ahoy, Jan!

For family evening dining on Disney ships, cruise casual is suggested -- which means no shorts, tank tops or swimwear. Yet, you will see everything from "Sunday best" to nice jeans and tees. I usually ask my guys to wear either dark jeans or khakis and a collared shirt, and the girls in our group typically wear sundresses or capri pants and a nice top.

For a four-night cruise, you typically will have one pirate night where eye-patches, bandanas and even full piratical regalia are encouraged. Then, two nights will be cruise casual with one optional "dress up" night. You may want to pack what you would wear to a wedding or a fine restaurant at home for this evening. There will be plenty of professional photographers and beautiful backdrops available for family portraits, and all the restaurants on board warrant making the extra effort.

I hope this helps you plan, and let me know if you think of more questions. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
