Hi there, Erin!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited you stopped by with your question about visiting Walt Disney World Resort before (and after!) you head to sea with Captain Mickey! What fun you will have onboard and I love the idea of adding on a day on the front
and back end of your voyage and spending some time at the theme parks! You will certainly get to experience it all that way –
Walt Disney World Resort,
Disney Cruise Line AND Disney’s private island,
Castaway Cay! Now THAT is a vacation!!
I confirmed with a Cast Member and yes, if you purchase a
theme park admission ticket with the Flex Option, you have 14 days (from the first use) to use all your ticket days. So, since the dates in question fall within a two-week period, you should have no problem utilizing the tickets before and after your adventure at sea!
If you haven’t yet done so, I would recommend booking ground transfers through Disney Cruise Line. This is an easy and seamless way to get you from a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to Port Canaveral for your voyage and then back again at the end of your time onboard. Then, instead of arranging your own transportation, you will receive information in your hotel room the night before your cruise with what time to have your luggage ready and where to meet the motor coach for your transfer to Port Canaveral. Ground transfers can be added by contacting Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 or your travel agent.
Erin, as you continue planning for your vacation on
land and at sea, please come back with any other questions you may have! Wishing you the most magical and memorable vacation!
Stephanie
