Hi, My family and I are going on our 1st Disney Cruise in April. I had a question regarding our day on Castaway Cay. Are we suppose to carry our passports and credit card when we get off on Disney's island? If yes, are there lockers to store our items?

    Hello, Radhika -

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for logging in a question. Castaway Cay tops our list of most favorite beaches for our family. I'm sure that you and your family will have a splashtacular time on the island. There is so much to do for everyone.

Each guest disembarking on Disney's private island, must bring their own Key to the World Card to scan at the exit gangway, and you will also need this to be scanned when you come back onboard. Adults will also need a photo ID. My family and I are used to wearing a lanyard around our necks, and we keep our Key to the World Card and photo ID (driver's license) in the plastic see-through pouch. You do not need to bring your personal credit card on the island, since all purchases while on the island will be charged to your Key to the World Card. You can actually just leave your wallet in your stateroom.

There are no lockers on the island, but we've never really had the need for one. I will usually bring a backpack or a beach bag to keep some items with me on the island - sunblock, sunglasses or goggles and an extra bottle of water. Towels will be provided when you walk off the ship, so you can carry your towel with you when you find your beach chair/chaise lounge to hang out at for the day. It's a cool little island, so try to take the time to explore... spending a day at Castaway Cay is always a highlight for the cruisers onboard the Disney Cruise.

I hope this helps, Radhika. If you have any additional questions, please do write back. We're always glad to help.

    Happy planning!
