Hi. Our family of 6 has dinner reservations at Tokyo Dining at 8:30 for the dual purpose of having dinner and enjoying Illuminations. How do we go about politely requesting a table with a great viewing spot? Thank you so much for your time.

    Hi Julie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question.

We’ve had dinner at Tokyo Dining before and we were able to get a good view of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from our table after asking the restaurant’s hostess for a table near the windows when we checked in for our dining reservation.

That being said, we did have to wait a while for a table that would be able to accommodate our request. If IllumiNations is at 9:00 the day that you’ll be visiting Epcot, I would recommend that you do would be to try to move your reservation up to around 8:00 in order to give yourself more of a chance to get a table that will give you a great view. If your reservation is only 30 minutes before the show, you may not get much of a choice in terms of table assignment.

Please don’t hesitate to come back to see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
