My family will be dining at Downtown Disney and the Magic Kingdom resort hotels. Our children (ages 5 and 3) are relatively healthy eaters, but they don't eat traditional kid's meals. Will the restaurants cut adult entrees down to kids' portion sizes?

To my knowledge, Brian, reducing the size of a regular menu item to a child's portion is not an option.  I can tell you, though, that we deal with the same issues in our house; my children don't care much for many of the items widely available on the kids menus.  We've been known to go ahead and order regular menu items and split them between two kids.  It's a method that works well for us because we don't end up wasting food and the kids are able to eat something other than pizza and nuggets.  You might give it a try during your upcoming trip.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
