Me and my family would like to dine with the characters, and my kids (ages 5 and 3) would prefer Mickey. Is Chef Mickey's the best choice for that? How many characters are usually there? They do like Donald as well. When is the earliest time for dinner?

    Hi Sherry,

I have two children, ages 5 and 10, and they absolutely love Chef Mickey's.  It is a "must do" for them on every trip to Walt Disney World.  We have been fortunate enough to enjoy most of the Character Dining Experiences at Walt Disney World and this and the Crystal Palace are our family favorites.  We've been to Chef Mickey's for breakfast and dinner and they love doing both; my personal preference is for dinner as I like to be in the theme parks first thing in the morning, but I have to admit, starting you day in Chef Mickey's is not a bad thing!

If you can't get a reservation for Chef Mickey's, Mickey is also generally present for dinner in the Garden Grill restaurant in Epcot.  He's also with Donald, Daisy, and Goofy at Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom.  We also saw him the last time we enjoyed the Character Breakfast at 'Ohana in the Polynesian Resort.  Just remember that Disney reserves the right to change the characters in any dining experience at any time.

Don't forget you can also meet Mickey in Mickey's Toontown Fair in the Magic Kingdom.  He's also at the Epcot Character Spot in Epcot.  Finally, he's sometime available in his Sorcerer Mickey outfit in the Magic of Disney Animation in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
