Hi Janet,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question about one of my favorite topics, Disney dining, to this magical corner of the digital universe. One of my favorite milestones during a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation countdown is 60 days before arrival, which is when I can make advanced dining reservations for my family. I'm only a morning person on Disney days, and this day totally counts. I rise, shine, and get to work filling in the most delicious details of our itinerary. I'd love to help you do the same for your upcoming visit.
Advanced dining reservations can be booked online beginning 60 days in advance of your arrival date. I typically log into my
My Disney Experience account on my laptop by 5:45 a.m. and am able to access my vacation dates at 6:00 a.m. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel may reserve dining for the duration of their trip, up to ten days. It can be challenging to find reservations for parties of 10, Janet, though I tend to agree with Walt: "it's kind of fun to do the impossible." For online booking, my recommendation is to start with a date, party size, and meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) as opposed to a set time. If there's a particular restaurant you have your heart set on, try for the latest possible date and be open to different mealtimes. A late lunch/early dinner can be just the mid-day break everybody needs. A search for parties of 10 in April just now showed available reservations at multiple restaurants including
Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT,
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' in Disney Springs, and
The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom park. Keep in mind that reservation availability changes by the minute as folks reimagine their Disney days. If you don't find the reservation you're looking for, just keep trying, just keep trying.
You may also call (407) 939-3463 to make dining reservations. The phone lines open at 7:00 a.m. and, in my experience, there is a wait time involved. The Cast Member assisting you will have eyes on the same reservation inventory you see online, so I recommend browsing the options online before, during, or even after your call.
There are also a number of excellent quick-service dining options throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. I highly recommend taking advantage of
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering in the
My Disney Experience mobile app during your visit. To maximize the availability of arrival windows during peak meal times, it's best to place your order well in advance. My family likes to place our lunch order in the morning when we're waiting in line for an attraction. If plans change, you can always modify your arrival window or cancel the order without being charged.
I hope your party of 10 has a magical time at
The World's Most Magical Celebration. Be sure to visit planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
