My family on deluxe dine plan. When looking at menus for appetizer opts...how do those that serve 2 or 4 work in terms of credits? What if my son doesn't order appetizer or dessert every time? Does credit simply waste? A lot of food for a 10 yr. ol

    Hi Amy,

Great questions! I spoke with a Disney Dining cast member to make sure I was giving you the correct answer. If you are dining alone, you would not be able to order an appetizer meant to serve 2 or more. If you have two people and order an appetizer that serves 2 it would be counted as the appetizer for both of you.

If your son doesn't work up a big appetite touring the parks he might not need an appetizer and dessert. It IS a lot of food sometimes. However, the appetizer and dessert are included in the meal credit. As long as your son has enjoyed a delicious meal, I wouldn't consider the credit wasted. The benefit of the Deluxe Dining Plan is when you are hungry enough for a few courses, you can order them but you are never required to.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Be sure to let us know if we can help you with any other questions!

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation,
