My family and I (DD 6 and DS 4) are traveling to Disney in September. My kids are HUGE Michael Jackson fans, so I am very excited about Captain EO and am hoping it is still running then. I did read that it may be scary. Anyone know what is scary?

Hi Jennifer!  If your kids are huge Michael Jackson fans then you will not want to miss this great show that Disney has brought back to Epcot. It debuted in 1986 and was returned in 2010 and I am sure will remain for a while.

The show lasts 17 minutes and it is based on a space theme.  Some of the characters are alien like but nothing is particularly scary. Music is loud and you will use 3D glasses which for some kids are very uncomfortable. If your children understand that this is science fiction based then there shouldn't be a problem with them watching a show such as this. I am sure the music and Michael will keep them mesmerized for those 17 minutes!
