My family and I are only 9 days away from our Disney Vacation and are very excited. My family and I received the Free Dining Plan the week we are vacationing. Can we use Walt Disney World giftcards to pay the gratuity on our Free TS meals?

    Hi Jennifer,

Congratulations!  Only 9 more sleeps until you will be making unforgettable memories with your family at Walt Disney World!

Yes you may use your Disney Gift Card to pay for your Table-Service meal gratuities.  I have done this myself many times.  Another option is to charge your gratuities (and purchases) back to your Resort room using your MagicBand and then pay for your accumulated purchases with your Disney Gift Card at the Front Desk of your Resort hotel. Be sure to inquire with your Front Desk about when your room charges are submitted to your credit card so that you have an opportunity to pay for your charges with your Gift Card prior to them being sent to your credit card.  This is a really good method if you prefer to travel light or forget to bring your Gift Card with you.

Have a Magical vacation Jennifer!  If you have any last minute questions before your trip be sure to come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are always happy to help.

I fell in love with Walt Disney World on my very first visit, which took place during my honeymoon. Since then we have added 4 "mouseketeers" to our family and have come to appreciate what a great value a Walt Disney World vacation can be on a budget.
