Hi Tonya!
Your vacation is actually at a perfect time! The weather is (usually) very mild and the crowds are low.
The marathon should have little impact on your trip. You will see a lot of runners around the parks, but the crowd level will still be very nice. The only day that you will see parts of the actual race will be on Sunday during the full marathon, as it runs through all four parks and ends in mid-afternoon. If you want to avoid runners, your best park would be Magic Kingdom on Sunday. Runners will be cleared out of that park before it even opens. The second park runners go through is Animal Kingdom, so that would also be a good choice for Sunday.
You may see a few runners around park opening time at Epcot on Saturday as some are finishing up their half marathon, but it won't be for more than an hour or two after the park opens to guests.
Road closures will be in effect some Saturday morning, and during the day on Sunday, but the Disney bus drivers are very well-trained and informed on alternate routes.
All three of your resort choices would be great! I think the Art of Animation would be the favorite choice for your daughter! I don't know of a better-themed and detailed resort anywhere!
Be sure to check out the
special offers available for that time. I just booked my stay for marathon weekend using a room-only discount.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
