Three Generations Aboard Ship; fireworks; night

    Our family of 5 will be cruising for the 1st time on the Dream March 7th. Can you tell me what the weather typically is the first week of March? I need packing suggestions! Also is there a formal night? And Pirate night, we bring fun pirate clothes?

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I know you are getting so excited about your March cruise, and we just love to share in your fun. Pretty soon, your pirate crew will be “Dream”ing on their first Disney Cruise. My pirate family loves to sail away in the month of March for Spring Break, and we enjoy the climate in the Bahamas and Florida during that time.  While half of the country is freezing, your pirate crew will adore the warm weather with cool nights since the average temperature ranges from 67-79 degrees during the day, and nights can sometimes dip into the high 50’s/low 60’s.

    What this means for my pirate crew is layering cooler outfits with sweaters and light jackets. Sometimes the air-conditioning inside the ship is a bit chilly, and it is helpful to have something warm. For our sea pups we pack a combination of casual shorts, jeans and skirts along with at least one set of pants or a dress for the evening. On 3 and 4 night cruises there are no formal nights, but you will find an optional dress up night.  My pirate crew likes to dress up for those nights and see our beloved Disney characters come out for photo greetings in their spiffy formal wear. And of course you don’t want to forget your pirate gear! Adults and children are encouraged to bring their gear to wear to Pirates In the Caribbean Deck Party.
