Our family will be cruising in November 2011. My daughter is 6 years old, and loves to wear her princess dresses. Should I bring them with on the cruise for her to wear? Do other girls wear their dresses too? Also, do they wear them for the formal night?

    Hi, Laura!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise with Disney Cruise Line! You should absolutely pack your daughter's princess dresses...she will be in great company. You most likely will be able to see, talk to, take pictures with and get autographs from Disney princesses -- such as Tiana, Snow White, Ariel, Aurora and Cinderella.  They, of course, will be decked out in their finest, and your little one will be adorable appearing in her royal duds with them.

As a ballet teacher to that age, I know that your daughter probably has quite the collection of dress-up clothes and princess costumes, and you probably are aware of how they can vary in price. Therefore, you'll want to make sure that her collection is up-to-date before you sail.  Costumes (and accessories) are available on board but are pricier than the ones found online or at your nearest Disney Store.

She can wear a princess costume dress on formal night -- because what's more formal than a ballgown and a crown? The only problem may be getting her out of her princess attire for more casual activities. (I've even seen little girls wear their dresses on Castaway Cay...so cute!)

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
