Ahoy Katrina –
So thrilled to hear about your cruise plans for June, and congratulations to your kids on their first Disney Cruise! I truly believe that on
Disney Cruise Line, there is something for everyone and that includes the young adults in your pirate crew. Ages 18-20 is a tough age to entertain since they are too mature for the teen clubs and too young for a truly adult experience. While there is not a specific Youth Club area for this age group onboard, there are special activities and programming available. The
1820 Society meets daily for cruisers aged 18-20 and provides an opportunity to hang out with others, make friends and enjoy fun activities. Check your
Personal Navigator to find out when and where to meet up with this club. Young adults also can experience the spa, pool areas, sports deck and recreation, first run movies, Broadway style shows as well as family fun activities like Bingo, Karaoke and game shows. For you next question, after embarkation, staterooms are usually ready around 1:30PM for most guests (Concierge rooms can be ready as early as 11:30AM). For your last question, I reached out to my Walt Disney World Moms Panel friends since I have not purchased any beer/wine onsite at the
Walt Disney World Resort. Many of the Resorts have a grocery or market that sells beer, but it may be more cost effective to walk over to a Hess Convenience Store to purchase a 6-pack. Another option is to get a taxi or Uber to a grocery store (like Publix) for better selection. Katrina, I hope you and your crew have a marvelous vacation, and thanks for visiting with us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
