My family will be cruising January 2017 with DCL and plan on taking the DCL transfer from the airport to the port before the cruise. After the cruise will be staying 1 night at a Disney resort. Do we take the Magic Express or DCL from port to resort?

    Welcome aboard, Abby!

The magic will continue... from sea to land, for you and your family. Having Disney Cruise Line take care of your airport to port and port to Disney Resort ground transfers is the most convenient way to transport your family. After a tiring flight into the Orlando airport, it's really easy to get your family over to the Disney Magical Express Welcome Center on Side B Level 1. Show a cast member at the counter, your Disney Cruise Line ground transfer confirmation and they will direct you to the next motor coach that will whisk you away to Port Canaveral.

You'll need to make round trip reservations for DCL ground transfers to make sure you've got both ways covered. There is no Magical Express from Port Canaveral to the Disney resorts, since that complimentary service is only available to travelers coming from the MCO airport going directly to the Disney Resorts.

As you may already know, there is a fee of $35 each way ($70 round trip) per person over the age of 3 for ground transfers. On disembarkation morning, you will need to collect all your luggage at the Port Canaveral baggage claim area and make your way through US Customs. You will proceed to exit towards the left where the Disney motor coaches are waiting. Let the cast member know which Disney Resort you are traveling to, and they will direct you to the next bus going that route. The bus driver will be your baggage handler, and he will load your baggage in the same bus that you will be boarding. You'll need to just show your Key to the World Card to board the bus.

I hope this information helps, Abby. Please do let us know if you have any other questions that we can help with.

    Happy planning,
