Hello, Our family will be cruising for the first time in March with 2 small children, we will be driving a rental to port Galveston, we will have 2 carseats to store. Will there be a place to store them?

Ahoy there, Jenessa! I’m honored to welcome you aboard planDisney!

A first Disney cruise is unbelievably exciting, and I'm so giddy for you because I know all of the magical moments your family is about to experience! As a mom who’s been sailing with Disney Cruise Line since my kiddos were babies, I know all about the extra items needed, and have also packed these items many times myself!

On the day that you embark on your Disney cruise, you can tag the car seats along with your other luggage so that they arrive in your stateroom. This way, you don't have to carry them yourself. Just like with any type of travel with car seats, I always suggest placing them in a car seat bag to keep them better protected.

As for storage during the cruise, while there isn’t a dedicated space outside of your stateroom to store them, you do have multiple storage options inside your stateroom! Disney Cruise Line staterooms are renowned for having many storage amenities and are truly designed with families in mind.

Depending on the size of your car seats and types, you have the option of storing them underneath your bed or inside one of the closets. In my opinion, your best bet, and the spot I used to store my own car seat, was at the bottom of the closet because it always fit perfectly and was out of our way!

When you’re ready to disembark, you can tag the car seats to be placed along with the rest of your luggage, and they will be ready for you upon disembarkation.

I also want to remind you of all the amenities Disney Cruise Line has for small children, such as "it's a small world" nursery!, Disney's Oceaneer Club, and the many others such as toddler bed rails, high chairs, etc. All of this and more is included in the cost of your cruise, and adds less stress on you as a parent and, instead, more magic!

Jenessa, I hope this helped you feel more prepared to sail with your littlest cruisers. Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.

    Bon Voyage,
    Rana
