Hello. My family and I are Cruising on the Disney Dream March 9th out of Port Canaveral. Could you please tell me if shorts are allowed in the family restaurants? Thank-you

    Hi Dwayne!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel site!  The Disney Dream is a magnificent cruise ship and dining onboard any of the main dining rooms, offers you and your family a great gastronomic experience.  Cruise Casual is the most common suggested attire in the evenings.  Depending on how many nights you cruise, you can also count on having Dress Up night and Disney Cruise Line's signature celebration, Pirate Night! Nice shorts and jeans are now included in what is considered cruise casual.  You'll likely sail with a mixture of guests who choose to either glam it up in the evenings, as well as guests who prefer to be dressed cruise casual for most nights.   Just remember that the photo staff will be setup for professional portraits in the evenings at the atrium. These photos would make beautiful cruise mementos for you and your family, so it might be a good idea to have a nice bright top to go with your nice shorts for those pictures. You've got a great backdrop anywhere you are, while on the Dream, so you and your shipmates will look vibrant for sure in any of those photos!

March 9th is right around the corner, Dwayne!  Please do let us know if you have additional questions.

    Have a great voyage!
