    Hi! My family and I we'll be cruising aboard the Dream in May. My husband and my 8-year old son will be wearing collared shirts and nice pants to dinner. Is it Ok for them to wear nice sandals (not flip flops) to dinner or are closed toed shoes preferred?

    Hi Dale!

    I'm going through terrible Disney Cruise Line withdrawal today, so forgive me when I tell you I'm kind of jealous that you'll be sailing on the beautiful Disney Dream soon and I'm not!  Okay, deep down I am THRILLED for you!  What a blast you're going to have!

    Dress attire in the restaurants on your rotational dining schedule are all cruise casual.  They most certainly can wear sandals if they choose to.  If you have a formal night though you may want to clean the boys up a bit so you can get a family picture taken that evening by one of the many professional photographers onboard.  Their pictures are fantastic and it's so inexpensive to get a really nice picture of the family taken when everyone is happy and dressed up.
