Hi there, Laura!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love to see fellow Texans stop by with questions about upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacations; I don’t know about you, but I am itching for summer, but not the Texas heat that comes along with it. Lucky for you, your
Mediterranean voyage will be here before you know it and I am sure you are eagerly anticipating the fun adventure that awaits you.
My family sailed the Mediterranean a couple years ago and we were amazed at how much we were able to see and do while on land! If you haven’t yet planned out all your days’ adventures, I highly recommend visiting Lucca when stopping in Livorno. It’s such a lovely little town, and we rented a car right at the port and drove ourselves there and then to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa! It was quite the adventure, but we have so many memories from that day making every missed turn worth it!
I checked with Disney Cruise Line and while onboard schedules are always subject to change, currently Formal Night is scheduled for Day 2 (Sunday).
Pirate Night, which is one of my favorite night’s onboard is scheduled for Day 4 (Tuesday) and semi-formal night is scheduled for Day 6 (Thursday). All the other nights are cruise casual and you will find that after long days on land, you might be rushing back to make your dinner seating, so really don’t worry about getting changed for dinner service is you are getting back to the ship right at dinnertime!
As you continue counting down for your European adventure, please come back with any other questions you may have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
