Hey Michelle!
A first time Disney cruise? Bravo! I’m so excited for you and cannot wait to help you navigate the cruise planning waters. Take a deep breath and get ready to experience all the delights of at sea days and ports of call during your sailing with Captain Mickey and crew!
Let’s get you first started by booking your cruise reservation. If you are confident online, you can make arrangements on the Disney Cruise Line website under
Find a Cruise. Select your travel dates, the number in your travel party and note how many kids will be on the reservation. A drop down menu will pop open and you can select the children's ages there. The cruise price will then be calculated based on the number in the stateroom and what category of stateroom you choose.
If you prefer, you can also
contact a Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning Specialist or a Travel Agent and they will be happy to walk you through the process. Once you have a reservation booked and the deposit paid, you will receive an update on when the final payment is due.
Since you will be a first time Disney cruiser, here are a few tips on how to make the most of this experience:
-Make sure you make advance reservations for
Port Adventures, adults-only dining at
Palo or
Remy, and
Beverage Tastings. These are what I call the extras on a Disney cruise, but they take the experience to the next level. Since this is your very first Disney cruise, your booking window for this opens 75 days prior to your sailing. Plenty of time to secure reservations to your desired activities!
-Treat yourself to a spa treatment at
Senses Spa and Salon. Hands down, this is my absolute guilty pleasure when I sail. Selections include massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. These are popular, so book ahead of time online when your advance booking window opens or check availability on your very first day onboard at the spa.
-Go ahead and download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before you arrive at the port. This app will be a DREAM come true in assisting you with daily schedules, entertainment, deck plans, menus, and even setting reminders so you don't miss a single moment.
That’s a lot of information to process I know, so please stop back by with additional questions. WISHing you a wonderful Disney Cruise Line vacation!
