Hi there, Katy!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, fellow Texan! I am thrilled you are considering a Disney Cruise Line
Very Merrytime sailing; they are SO MUCH FUN! The decorations throughout the ship and the added onboard activities make everything so festive and merry! My family spent Christmas aboard the Disney Wonder a few years ago and it made for a memorable and unforgettable holiday!
You are welcome to bring wrapped packages onboard with you, either in your checked luggage or in your carry-on luggage. There is always the chance that they need to be opened or searched, but that is on a case by case basis. Take a glance at the list of
prohibited items and as long as you are not planning on gifting a bicycle or any other prohibited item, there should not be any issue with bringing wrapped gifts onboard. Hint: Disney gift cards make a great gift or stocking stuffer since they can be used in the onboard gift shops!
If you do decide to go forward with booking a Very Merrytime sailing (and I highly recommend it!), be sure to look at the
In-Room Gifts & Amenities available for your sailing! We had a miniature Christmas tree in our stateroom along with some in-room decorations making our stateroom very festive and added to our family Christmas celebration within our stateroom on Christmas morning!
Anytime you are on a Disney Cruise Line vacation gives you a reason to celebrate, but celebrating a holiday makes it even more special! As your planning continues, please come back with any additional questions you may have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
