Hello Christina!
I have to be honest; I've never rented Disney Vacation Club points, so I can't tell you about my experience with that. We heard about the magic of DVC for a few years before taking our first two trips (not DVC), and then realized that we really wanted more. Of everything. Time, room, visits, perks, all of which DVC seemed to offer.
That being said, you may not know that you can experience all of the Disney Vacation Club resorts
without using Disney Vacation Membership at all. In order to check out the varied, beautiful and unique DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, simply
check out the "Accommodations at Walt Disney World Resort" page. You can book a stay in any of these resorts just as you would the others; simply contact the reservation center, either online or via telephone, and request a stay at one of these resorts.
Keep in mind, too, that if you rented points from a Disney Vacation Club Member, that Member would be the one who would have to do all of the travel arrangements for you, so you wouldn't see how Membership works that way, either. The really fabulous
Disney Vacation Club Member benefits are only be available to Members, too, not those who are staying at a DVC resort on someone
else's Membership. Thus, rental wouldn't give you any better insight into Membership.
Consider staying at a Disney Vacation Club property to get a real feel for what those villas have to offer. You won't want to stay anywhere else once you've been spoiled by the roominess, the amenities and the flexibility these villas have to offer.
Our initial impression of what DVC has to offer us has proven to be true, without a doubt.
Send me more questions as you think of them; I'd love to help!
