Hi Emily! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
You have picked one of the best times to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort. I love this time of year for many reasons, but none more than how festive the Magic Kingdom is decorated during this time. Main Street, U.S.A. is decked out in Mickey-shaped pumpkins and fall foliage is lined up and down the lampposts. Keep an EAR out for any announcements regarding the possible return of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! I have my fingers crossed that Disney decides to bring back this annual event after a two-year hiatus.
Let’s discuss your park tickets. With your
purchase of a 5-day ticket with the water park option added on, you’ll have access to one park per day and multiple visits to the water park throughout your trip. If you want to be able to visit more than one park in a day, you’ll need to upgrade your tickets to the
Park Hopper Plus Option. This will give you the ability to park hop on each day of your visit and still include the Water Park and Sports Option. Unfortunately, you cannot pick and choose just one day of your visit to add on the park hopper, as it will need to be added to your entire length of stay. I would suggest checking on the cost to see if it is something that makes sense for your budget.
One thing to consider is if the
Halloween Party or after-hours event returns this year to the
Magic Kingdom Park. These tickets are sold separately and may give you a chance to visit two parks in one day without having the park hopper option. You can make park reservations for any of the other three parks for that day, and then visit Magic Kingdom in the evening for the event. My family attended the Halloween Party back in 2019 and it was an absolute blast. I highly recommend making time for this if it is an option!
Emily, I am so excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. Your family is going to have the best time being part of the
World’s Most Magical Celebration!
See ya real soon!
