    Hi, my family is coming to WDW October 13th staying at Yacht Club.Can you tell me if its essential to make dining reservations?We have the DDP. We have never been here before so its hard to know where and when we will want to eat?

    Hi Ian!

    You will love staying the Disney's Yacht Club Resort - it is a stunning resort, and so close to Epcot - walking distance, or by boat, and Disney's Hollywood Studios - a short boat ride away.  You are also very close to the Boardwalk with all the restaurants and entertainment - it's a great location.

    I would definitely recommend that you make some advance dining reservations.  I know it feels as if you are pre-planning your every move, but without reservations you will probably be disappointed as many restaurants become fully booked, with the popularity of the Disney Dining Plan.  I have all our Disney dining booked for July/August - we do not dine on-property every night, but for those that are at Walt Disney World, I have made reservations.  We often change our plans, but as long as we cancel 24 hours before, there is no cancellation fee.  All dining reservations can be made online, or by calling (US number) 00-1-407 939 3463 up to 180 days ahead of time.

    I would be very happy to help you make decisions about where to dine.  If you would like to send me details about your children's preferences - boys or girls, and their ages - I could suggest some restaurants that you all would enjoy.  I can recommend character dining, theme park dining and some great restaurants in the Walt Disney World Resort hotels.  Please send me a direct question, and I'll do my best to suggest some great restaurants for your family.  Also, if you have any other holiday planning questions, I would be happy to help you with those too.
