My family of 11 is coming to WDW on March 19, and our 1 1/2 year old grandson has food alllergies. Can I pre-ship approriate food to our hotel (Caribbean Beach)? Will he be able to find food at the restaurants that are egg-free or not prepared around egg

Hi Mary, How exciting to be planning a "Grand Gathering" at Disney World with your family.

In answer to your quesitons, yes you can pre-ship packages to be held for your arrival at your Resort. Be sure to check with the carrier you'll be using to verify their shipping times and add a day just to be safe. The Resort will hold your box in a safe place until you arrive. Just mention to the Front Desk upon check-in that you have a package waiting for you. You'll want to use this address on your label:

    Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
HOLD FOR GUEST:  Mary xxxxx - ARRIVAL DATE:  MM/DD/YYYY
    900 Cayman Way
    Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

As far as your grandson's food allergies, Disney can accommodate most special dietary requests. According to the Disney website:

"Walt Disney World Resort table service restaurants that accept reservations can accommodate most food allergies and food intolerances—such as gluten or wheat, shellfish, soy, lactose or milk, peanuts, tree nuts, fish or eggs. Please contact one of the representatives by email at: SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com once you have booked your dining reservations, at least 14 days in advance."

You can reach Disney Dining at: 407-WDW-DINE to discuss his allergies and can read the entire page on Special Dietary Requests by clicking: HERE.

Hope this helps and that you have a Magical vacation!
