Our family is coming to WDW for the first time at the end of January. We have 4days, no park-hopper, and I need help deciding which Park won't make the cut. We plan to take 2days at MK. My girls' ages are 10, 8, and 4. Insight on best option for last 3park

    Hi Kristin,

Deciding which park NOT to go to is always a difficult decision simply because there are some "don't miss" attractions in every park, but I'll try to help.

I would definitely visit Magic Kingdom and Epcot. To me, those are the quintessential Walt Disney World parks. Now if you ask every one of the moms the same question, you'll probably get a different answer from each of us.

For the third park, if your girls love animals, then go to Animal Kingdom. Kilimanjaro Safari is awesome, and there are some other great attractions and shows you can all enjoy together. Legend of the Lion King and Finding Nemo are both exceptional. My six year old daughter has also always loved Flights of Wonder. My family is usually finished at Animal Kingdom by early afternoon, so it's perfect for a day when you want to spend your evening at Downtown Disney.

Now, if I could only visit three parks, I would choose Hollywood Studios. I love Toy Story Midway Mania. My older kids love Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, and when my littlest was four she loved meeting her favorite Disney Jr. characters. The whole family enjoys the street performers, learning to draw our favorite Disney characters, and we always have a meal at 50s Prime Time Cafe. There are some fun shows, and you can even take a break from the parks and either ride a boat or even walk to the Boardwalk area for a meal or just to look around. If your kids want to see their favorite Pixar characters, this is the place to be.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
